Step 1: Launch Vapor Client

Java version selection is crucial for performance. Here are the recommended versions:

🎮 For Minecraft 1.16 and below: Java 8

Vapor Client can automatically detect and download the correct version. You can also manually select in Settings → Java Configuration.

After first launch, configure these important settings:

Graphics Settings:
• Render Distance: 12-16 chunks (balanced)
• Simulation Distance: 8-12 chunks
• Max Framerate: 60-120 FPS

Performance Settings:
• Enable Fast Math: Yes
• Enable Lazy Chunk Loading: Yes

Sound Settings:

Step 1: Click "Play" in the main menu

No! Vapor Client is 100% safe and compliant with Minecraft terms of service. It's a launcher enhancement, not a client mod. Many servers and the official Mojang launcher approve of Vapor Client. However, some PvP servers may have restrictions - always check with your server administrator.
